We are pleased to announce that Ewan Mackenzie Smith has joined Magnesium Capital as the newest member of our investment team.
As part of our continued growth, we would like to welcome Ewan to the team who joined us over the summer as an Investment Professional.
In his role, Ewan will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and executing new investment opportunities, as well as contributing to value creation across our existing portfolio companies. His appointment reflects Magnesium Capital’s ongoing commitment to expanding its capabilities and supporting the green transition through strategic investments.
Ewan joins us from Aurelius Group, a Pan-European private equity investor, where he was part of the investment team. Prior to Aurelius, he worked within EY’s Transaction Diligence practice, gaining extensive experience advising private equity and corporate clients, particularly in the technology sector.
A Chartered Accountant, Ewan began his career in EY’s audit practice. He holds a BA in Economics from Exeter University and an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College, London.
